General Information


Thank you for choosing First Capital Apartments for your Accommodation Needs during your stay in the beautiful twin-isle of Trinidad and Tobago.

Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in time is after 2:00 pm (local time) on your date of arrival
  • Check-out time is prior to 10:00 am (local time) on your date of departure

Every effort will be made to have the property available for your check-in time but we cannot guarantee the exact time of the occupancy.  Failure to vacate the property by 10:00 am on your departure date could result in additional hourly or daily charges at the sole discretion of the Owner Representative.

If you wish to extend your stay or seek an early check-in please communicate your rental revision request to the Owner Representative.   Nominal charges may apply if we can accommodate your request.  No extension or early check-in request will be granted without the express written consent of the Owner Representative.


Cancellation Policy

We have a stringent Cancellation Policy because of the type of accommodation you are renting.  We trust that you understand our business position.  All Cancellations must be submitted in writing.  Every effort will be made to rebook the apartment.  If and when the apartment is rebooked and monies confirmed, all monies less a USD $100.00 service fee will be returned to the Tenant.  In the event the apartment does not rebook, all monies are forfeited excluding the Security Deposit and Cleaning Fee. Any change in the reservation duration or time will be subject to the Cancellation policy.


Cleaning Fee and Responsibilities

The Tenant is required by contract to leave the Property in a good and clean condition. Upon arrival all beds are made in our apartment.  Bath towels, face cloths (one for each person the apartment accommodates), kitchen and bath products are included.  There is no daily maid service however it is available for an additional charge.  We suggest you bring beach towels, as we do not allow towels to be taken from the apartment. Notwithstanding this for rentals of more than one week, the rooms are cleaned on a weekly.

Any required cleaning above and beyond that covered by the Cleaning Fee will be deducted from the Security Deposit.

The Cleaning Fee covers your basic “hotel-like” cleaning services.  This includes laundry of all kitchen towels, bathroom towels and bed linens.  Making of all beds, cleaning of all bathrooms, cleaning kitchen, vacuuming and dusting.  It is mandatory that the Tenant take all debris, rubbish and trash to the assigned location as located on the Property.



A Pre-Paid Cellular Telephone is provided for each apartment this phone is provided with a minimum level of credit. The Tenant is responsible for placing additional credit onto the phone as may be required.



Guests are not allowed to bring Pets unto the compound, please respect this rule as your Security Deposit will be held if housekeeping discovers that a pet was kept on the premise during the rental stay.



Upon arrival you will obtain one set of apartment keys together with the main gate key. On departure you will be required to return all keys following the checkout inspection. For security purposes, if all keys are not returned we will be left with no choice but to replace the locks and deduct any replacement costs from your security deposit.


Accommodation and Equipment

All equipment in the apartment is kept in good working order.  Please report any inoperative equipment promptly.  We will make every reasonable effort to have repairs made as soon as possible.  Tenant shall not be entitled to any refund for inoperative appliances or systems (i.e. but not limited to air conditioning, sewer, electric, gas, water, etc).


Liability and Damages

The Owner’s sole obligation and liability for any damage, loss OR personal injury resulting from or in any way Connected with the Tenant’s use of the Property or Property Amenities shall be, at Owner’s option and judgement, to repair, replace or reimburse.

Under no circumstances shall the Owner be liable to Tenant or guests in tenant’s party for any incidental or consequential damages, loss or personal injury while using the Property or property amenities.   It is understood that the tenant will explain the “limitation of liabilities” to all guests in the tenants party and that the “limitation of liabilities” applies to all guests in the tenant’s  party.
